Veterans Regroup CIC provides a free service to Veterans, Serving Personnel, Reservists, Operationally Qualified Seafarers and their immediate families in Cornwall with multi-agency Armed Forces hubs, welfare services, social events and activity days.
 
Established in 2009, we are a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, a member of ASDIC and Cobseo, and are honoured to hold an Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Ref. No. 705834), registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Breathing Space Scheme, and Cyber Essentials Certified. Our team is committed to transforming lives and strengthening the Armed Forces Community.

Founder and Managing Director

Jane has supported the Armed Forces Community since 2012 and has been closely connected to it for many years. With her husband working at RNAS Culdrose and several family members who are military veterans, she has a personal insight into the unique challenges and needs of service personnel, veterans, and their families. 

Jane brings extensive project management experience across the public, private, and third sectors, including senior roles as District Manager, Training Manager and Projects Director.

Yorick O'Nyons

Armed Forces Hub and Volunteer Coordinator

Yorick served in the Royal Navy for 25 years, leaving as a Lt Cdr after serving on submarines, ships and in operational theatres worldwide. He later spent 10 years as a GP Practice Manager, gaining valuable insight into the NHS, before working with a humanitarian aid charity on global disaster deployments. Most recently, Yorick worked as a Veteran Change Coach with Active Plus, developing a good understanding of the challenges veterans face and the support available to them.

I served in the Coldstream Guards for 21-years. Upon leaving the Army, I was medically discharged and faced adversity, like many other members of the Armed Forces. Thankfully, barbering gave me a platform to build my own business. I founded Armour To Barber, run an award winning Barbershop and teach all aspects of barbering across the UK. I provide the Veterans Regroup project with strategic input as a Director.

Tina is a senior manager with over 25 years’ experience across education, business, wellbeing and the voluntary sectors. She has led contracts, commissioning, bid development and partnerships, collaborating with training providers, local authorities, employers and community organisations to deliver high-quality education and skills programmes that make a real difference.

Shiraz currently works as a Manager for the Ministry of Defence and brings a background in accounts, IT and health and safety.

Lorraine Bolger

Female Veterans Wellbeing Volunteer

Lorraine served in the RAF as an Aircraft Propulsion Mechanic, working on a range of fixed and rotary wing aircraft before continuing her career in aerospace engineering. Trained in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Awareness and First Aid at Work, she now volunteers with Veterans Regroup, providing a welcoming and supportive presence for female veterans. Lorraine enjoys helping women connect with activities, wellbeing opportunities and appropriate support, while encouraging connection and a sense of belonging.

Mick served in the Army and now provides valuable support as a volunteer at our Armed Forces Hubs, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for the Armed Forces Community. He also volunteers with the Defence Garden Scheme, supporting veterans through gardening and outdoor activities.

Stumpy served in the Army and now provides valuable support as a volunteer at our Armed Forces Hubs, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for the Armed Forces Community. He also volunteers with Help for Heroes, running a successful coffee morning in West Cornwall.

Steve is an Army veteran who joined the military straight from school and later spent three years as an Army Cadet Instructor. Passionate about helping others thrive, he is now Veterans Regroup’s Fundraising Ambassador. Steve works with local businesses, organisations and communities to raise vital funds and support for our work.

Armed Forces Hub Volunteer

Mick served in the Royal Navy for 34 years as a multi-skilled engineer and electrician. He provides valuable support at our Armed Forces Hubs and helps promote them through his extensive network. Mick also enjoys Cornish pilot gig rowing with Epic Gigability and volunteers with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Falmouth & Penryn Armed Forces Breakfast Club.

Patrick is an Army Commando veteran, Lead Director of Wild Art Cornwall CIC, and a Human Givens therapist with PTSD Resolution. He has extensive experience in training and coaching and holds a Bachelor of Education, with 15 years’ experience working in Special Education.

I joined the Royal Air Force in 2009, serving in Afghanistan on Herrick 16 in 2012 and a tour in the Falkland Islands between 2014/15. I was medically discharged in 2018 with complex PTSD, as a result of incidents during my tour of Afghanistan. I assist with Veterans Regroups events, as well as working part-time as a Youth Officer for The Royal British Legion.

I previously worked for Citizens Advice Cornwall as a Specialist Debt Advice Case Worker for over 12 years and became a fully qualified DRO Intermediary. I can help with income maximisation, budgeting, debt management, housing and energy advice, in face-to-face meetings or remotely via phone or online.

I am an experienced Debt and Housing Adviser and provides one-to-one advice to clients in face-to-face meetings or remotely via phone or online. I provide advice on income maximisation, budgeting, debt management and housing. I have previously worked as a Housing Support Worker for Stonham Homegroup and also as a Money Advice Caseworker for Citizens Advice Cornwall.

I am an experienced teacher of 16 years and qualified outdoor education facilitator. I am qualified to offer indoor wall climbing, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, trail running, sea swimming and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). I am passionate about being part of the Veterans Regroup project and harnessing the power of being active in nature to improve emotional literacy and resilience.
